Masses Gather for Square-Enix Party

Posted: 08/02/2005 - 01:03 AM, LessThanJake
Square Enix Party 2005 ended yesterday, bringing the total number of visitors to just under 47,000 over the two days. The company had a slew of news to report about the many anticipated titles it has announced over the past few years including Final Fantasy XII, and Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.

Final Fantasy XII will be released in Japan on March 16, 2006, giving fans of the series a longer wait than they had hoped for, however a definate release date after years of delays is good news.

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children was not only given a release date, but the surprising news that it would premiere in theaters in Japan before hitting the DVD market.

Quote:
Japan--Square Enix announced today that its forthcoming computer-animated movie Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children will be hitting theaters in Japan before its release on DVD. The company revealed at its Square Enix Party that the movie will be making it premiere in Japan on September 8 and will then officially open in the country's theaters on September 10. The DVD and UMD release will follow four days later on September 14.

Good news for the Japeneese, unfortunatly the rest of the world will not enjoy this luxery, and will have to wait until the 14th to witness the adventures of Cloud and company.
